"Tracks!" is simple. It's a bare bones conversion program with real world understanding of your track sheet needs. Label your regions in Pro Tools with the character, line, or effect name—only once; convert it to a text file with "Tracks!", open the output file in a program that you already know how to use like Microsoft Excel or Word, or ClarisWorks' spreadsheet—any program that can handle text with tables. Printing features were left out to save you money and the time learning stuff you already have in those programs. Even if you have to purchase a spreadsheet program you'll still pay less than you would pay for those other track sheet programs.

"Tracks!" retrieves all settings from your Pro Tools session file. You don't have to set them a second time for the track sheets; including sample rate, bit depth, frame rate (24, 25, 29.97 or 30), pull-up or pull-down, and NTSC drop or non-drop. "Tracks!" also recognizes patterns in region names and automatically leaves out those region names you don't need. The program can be set to pick up some region names and not others. You can pickup some internal names without picking up everything. A series of gunshots can be combined into one region on the track sheet. ADR trims can be combined into one entry. Small spaces between regions can be ignored. Your settings are saved ready for use the next time you need track sheets.
